Rich Gaitens is Special Referral Counsel* to Salpietro Law Office's clients in the area of Workers' Compensation and Social Security law. Rich and his firm, RPG Law LLC, counsel injured workers on receiving fair and equitable compensation for work related injuries. Coupled with his litigation experience, including appeals to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, Rich has dedicated more than 26 years to his clients in navigating the Workers’ Compensation process. He has also litigated domestic practice matters, arbitration cases, and has broad-based municipal law experience as both a solicitor and in defense of municipal entities. In 2024, Rich was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© Workers’ Compensation Law – Claimants.
Rich received his B.A. in 1990 from Juniata College. After graduation, he worked in the retail and transportation industries, gaining experience with union workers. He received his J.D. in 1998 from The Thomas M. Cooley Law School and was able to gain practical experience prior to graduation working as a law clerk and participating in a full-time internship. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He is currently serving as Board Chair for the Board of Directors of Bishop Canevin High School.
